Dr. Agnes Karingo Karume, MBChB, MBA, is an MPH student in the HIV Care Cascade/IARTP Program at the UW, funded by the Fogarty International Center. She is a medical doctor and research scientist at the Training, Research and Innovation Centre at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) in Nairobi, Kenya. Dr. Karingo is an early investigator with research interests focused on improvement and implementation science within health systems, including HIV/AIDs and maternal and child health. Her thesis research will assess the effect of mental health on the unmet need for contraception among women living with HIV in Kenya. Dr. Karingo’s primary mentors are Professor Alison Drake (UW) and Professor John Kinuthia (KNH).
