Programs

The University of Washington Department of Global Health supports a number of Fogarty International Center training programs, bringing trainees to the UW. These include:

INTEGRATE/HIV Care Cascade Training Program

The HIV Care Cascade Program trains health professionals at Kenyatta National Hospital and its partners at the Kenya Ministry of Health.

Women & HIV Training Program

The Women & HIV Program is focused on the translation of research into practice with partners Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) and National AIDS/STD Control Program (NASCOP).

University of Nairobi Research Training Program (UON-RTP)

This program seeks to strengthen the research opportunities in Kenya for clinicians who want to develop careers as independent researchers through the proposed program, “Research Training on HIV Prevention and Treatment in Children and Adolescents.” The program will be led by Drs. Dalton Wamalwa and Ruth Nduati at the University of Nairobi (UON) and co-directed with Dr. Carey Farquhar at the University of Washington (UW)
