The OWRC Dissertation Writing Intensive is a multi-day program that brings together doctoral students from across UW who are interested in making significant progress on their dissertations.

This intensive is open to all doctoral and graduate writers. Register today!

A flexible intensive

The Dissertation Writing Intensive is a program designed with busy graduate writers in mind. Writers are invited to join for as much or as little of the intensive as they wish.

Program events will be held online via Zoom. Additionally, the OWRC will host the Summer Quarter Graduate Writer Social Hour on June 16th in person in the OWRC space.

Graduate Writer Social Hour (in person)

June 16, 2026 1:00pm – 2:30pm Pacific Daylight Time

Odegaard Writing & Research Center (OUG 121) at UW Seattle; Husky Card required for entry

Join graduate students from across campus for the Summer Quarter Graduate Writer Social Hour. This event provides a welcoming environment for writers to get to know one another, explore OWRC resources, and establish self-led writing communities.

Best suited for: Graduate writers at all stages
