Writing Skills Assessment (WSA) Prep Workshops
The OWRC offers WSA prep workshops during each testing cycle for Foster School of Business applicants. We partner with Foster School of Business to offer WSA Preparation Workshops.
WSA workshops are scheduled for:
- Friday, February 2, 2018 | 3:00-4:30 pm | Odegaard 220
- Monday, February 12, 2018 | 2:30-4:00 pm | Odegaard 220
- Thursday, February 22, 2018 | 3:30-5:00 pm | Odegaard 220
No advance registration is required, though space limits us to 100 students.
Quarterly Workshops for English Language Learners
Each quarter the OWRC offers 90-minute workshops to support the academic
language development of English Language Learners. For example, we offer
workshops on reading skills, plagiarism, and writing. Check here for each

Citation and Plagiarism Workshop for English Language

What is plagiarism? Why is it important? How can I avoid it?
What does citing mean? How can I use citations in my writing?
The OWRC is hosting a free citation and plagiarism workshop for English Language Learners. We’ll work on strategies for incorporating citations into your writing, and using different tools for avoiding plagiarism in this hands-on workshop. No RSVP is required.

What am I expected to write in a personal statement? How long should a personal statement be? What are they looking for anyway?
