Get To know the Odegaard Writing & Research Center
Class visits
Connect writers with Odegaard Writing & Research Center services with an in-classroom visit from center staff. Visits are typically roughly 5-10 minutes in length and introduce students to the OWRC as well as how to access our programs, services, and resources.
To accomodate as many requests as possible, the OWRC requires requests be submitted no less than two weeks before the proposed visit date.
Multilingual Learning Communities (MLCs)
Discover how the MLC program supports multilingual students in classroom learning, developing translation strategies, and building community.
Workshops
Incorporate an OWRC-facilitated workshop into your class schedule. Choose from Peer Review Workshops or a custom workshop on another writing topic.
To accomodate as many requests as possible, the OWRC requires requests be submitted no less than two weeks before the proposed workshop date. Requests for custom workshops should be requested as soon as possible.
Handouts
Draw from a range of OWRC handouts to support in-class instruction or provide additional resources for learning.
Writing appointments
Encourage writers of all levels to visit the OWRC for one-on-one writing support, guidance, and feedback from peer tutors. Available in person or online.
Please note that OWRC policy prohibits requiring students visits as part of class curriculum.
