Jeremiah holds a BA in Linguistics from the University of California, Davis and an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Washington. In addition to English, he speaks Spanish and Latin. He has tutored for over five years in his hometown of Redding, in Davis, California, and at the OWRC at the University of Washington. He has also taught writing and composition in the University of Washington Program for Writing Across Campus (PWAC). In his work, he emphasizes collaboration and empowerment so that all can participate in the collective project of education. In his free time, Jeremiah enjoys creative writing, strategy games, calisthenics, and political organizing. Ask him about the Lord of the Rings or Ancient Roman history if you have an hour or two to spare!
