  • Impaired lung function was present in 52% of COVID-19 patients four months after discharge from the ICU from March to July 2020 (n=60). The most prevalent impairment was lower than normal diffusing capacity for carbon monoxide (DLCO) (45%). Impaired DLCO was more common among those aged >60 years and those who received invasive mechanical ventilation at the ICU.
