ADVOCATES for Community Health Camp; Valentine’s Day Project!

Want to learn about community health and how to get involved? Come to MAPS’s meeting on Thursday, February 9th at 5pm – 6pm in Condon 711B to hear from a recent UW public health major graduate talk about her experience working at Neighborcare Health as an AmeriCorps Member!

Neighborcare Health is the largest provider of primary medical and dental care in Seattle for low income and uninsured families and individuals, serving the community for more than 40 years.

At the meeting you will learn about Neighborcare Health’s services, the population they serve, and its sliding fee program to help people access healthcare services.

The AmeriCorps Members are looking for ADVOCATES/VOLUNTEERS, so if you want to get involved in community health, this is a meeting you don’t want to miss! For those graduating soon, this is also the perfect time to ask about AmeriCorps too for life after college!”

We will also have an organization come talk about traveling to Oxaca, Mexico this summer for a medical & dental brigade!!
