Operation Smile Meeting

Dear Pre-Health Students,

Did you know that every three minutes, a child is born with a cleft condition? More than 200,000 children are born with a severe cleft condition each year — often unable to eat, speak, socialize or smile. In some places these children are shunned and rejected. And in too many cases, their parents can’t afford to give them the surgeries they need to live a normal life.

Since 1982, Operation Smile — through the help of dedicated medical volunteers and student organizations — has provided the funding for free surgeries to children around the world. With a presence in over 50 countries, Operation Smile is able to heal children’s smiles, bringing hope for a better future.

So… how can YOU help? Whether it’s to get involved or just to learn more about what we are about, please join us at our next Operation Smile (UW Chapter) meeting on:

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 6TH 3:30PM IN SAVERY HALL, ROOM 136

Hope to see you there.

Sincerely,

Manjot Kaur OPSUW
