Few Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Programs align students with a world-class medical campus and award-winning faculty. University of Vermont’s is one of those rare programs.
This year:
Fletcher Allen Health Care was named “Best Regional Hospital” by U.S. News & World Report for the second year in a row. The magazine also named 21 doctors at the UVM Medical Group to its Top Doctors list. Two Chemistry faculty members, Alexander Wurthmann and John Sharp, won the Kroepsch-Maurice Excellence in Teaching Awards from the Center for Teaching & Learning. Alexander won it this past year and John won in the past, continuing a history of distinguished teaching at UVM.
Both were recognized not only for excellence in instruction, but for advising, motivating, and engaging students. As one student said: “If I had John Sharp as a freshmen in college, I would have majored in Chemistry instead of English.”
Our incredible faculty and resources are two of the many reasons we have a 90% placement rate for our students in fields ranging from medical to veterinary, dental, pharmacy, physical therapy and more. Our application deadline for summer (early consideration) is January 15th while summer and fall applicants can apply by our March 15th deadline.
