Neurological Surgery Summer Student Program – March 1 deadline

The UW Medicine Department of Neurological Surgery Summer Student Program provides “Bench to Bedside” exposure in the field of neurosciences. Established in 2008 by Richard G. Ellenbogen, M.D., Professor and Chair of the UW Department of Neurological Surgery, the program provides students seeking summer lab placements the opportunity to explore basic and clinical neurosciences. This 8-week program aims to help students learn about and consider pursuing an academic career in research and/or medicine.

Applications for the Summer of 2016 are now being accepted and are due March 1st, 2016. Please note the following requirements:

  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • You must be either a US citizen or have permanent residency status.
  • University undergraduate students may apply.
  • High School students may apply if they are either rising seniors or recent graduates accepted to enter university.
  • You must have current immunizations and TB test results through the program end date.
  • Out of area students will have housing stipends available but are responsible for their own meals and transportation.

Application deadline: March 1, 2016.
