The Personal Statement introduces you to the admissions committee – as a budding scientist and as a person. The goal of this webinar is to provide some general guidelines and important information about the personal statement so that your statement successfully introduces you to the committee.

Presenters will explain why applicants for any program are required to write a statement and will review the different types of statements including a personal history, a research statement, a statement of purpose, or a combination of all three.

Speakers will highlight the major Personal Statement elements that every admissions committee wants to see, and finally, they will present an outline for a sample personal statement.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

Speakers: Drs. Victoria Freedman, Audra Van Wart, Cynthia Wright
