The UW STARTALK program invites you to join language teaching colleagues from the University of Washington and around the state for our third STARTALK-sponsored heritage language workshop. The summit will feature a series of panels with teachers, administrators, and students to inform us of the current system of High School to College Connections: Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB), College in the High School, Running Start, Summer Language Programs, Competency-Based Credits and the Seal of Biliteracy. In the afternoon we’ll explore Meeting the needs of Heritage Language Learners and Dual Language Students… in College: What are the successes and the challenges of the “system” that has evolved over time?
