SMALL INTESTINE AND APPENDIX
Case #1 -
A 21 year old with acute RLQ pain

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
1.) What is the differential diagnosis of RLQ pain?

Differential diagnosis: appendicitis, gastroenteritis, Crohn's disease, yersinia infections, Meckel's diverticulitis, psoas abscess, leaking duodenal ulcer, ectopic pregnancy, torsion of ovarian cyst or hydrosalpinx, pelvic inflammatory disease, sigmoid diverticulitis, amebic typhlitis, or hepatic abscess. In an immunocompromised patient, other causes may be CMV colitis, lymphadenitis, or typhlitis.
