Case #1 - A 21 year old with acute RLQ pain
 
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
  1. Be able to list the differential diagnosis of right lower quadrant pain.
  2. Be able to describe the typical presentation of appendicitis.
  3. Be able to describe the etiology and progression of the pathology.
  4. Be able to discuss complications of acute appendicitis if not treated expeditiously and the consequent need to have a high index of suspicion in atypical cases.
  5. Be able to describe the management of acute appendicitis.
