A 65 year old with a pulsatile abdominal mass

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
5.) If a person has an AAA, what are risk factors for surgery that should be elicited from the patient?

Risk factors for surgery include age >85, severe angina, congestive heart failure, recent myocardial infarction, creatinine >3 mg%, using oxygen at home, pO2 <50 mm Hg, FEV1 <1, cirrhosis.
