LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
  1. Be able to describe the clinical presentation of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) and symptoms and signs of concurrent disease.
  2. Be able to describe the appropriate workup for AAA including advantages and disadvantages of each diagnostic procedure.
  3. Be able to summarize the physics of AAA related to the risk of rupture.
  4. Be able to discuss the risks and benefits of surgery and how these factors relate to the decision to operate.
