  1. Be able to define and describe claudication, rest pain, tissue loss, and dependent rubor.
  2. Be able to list the differential diagnosis of calf and foot pain.
  3. Be able to discuss ankle brachial indices and toe pressures as predictors of the clinical course.
  4. Be able to discuss indications for surgery and the role of arteriogram as a tool for operative planning
  5. Be able to outline the benefits of revascularization versus primary amputation.
  6. Be able to list the three criteria for a successful vascular bypass.
