Goals and Objectives
- Further develop knowledge of cardiothoracic disease and enhance the ability to manage comprehensively the problems encountered in cardiac and thoracic surgery patients.
- Participate in patient care (including diagnosis, preoperative and postoperative care) and learn about the cardiopulmonary hemodynamics.
- Gain exposure to a wide variety of both cardiac and thoracic disease entities and participate in both open heart and thoracic procedures in the operating room.
- Develop polished skills in the clinical assessment of vascular heart disease and the EKG diagnosis of arrhythmias.
