"PSYCHO"

In Alfred Hitchcock’s movie Psycho, the main character, Marion Crane, tries to navigate speedily through the highways of time. As with many other protagonists, Marion does not take into account the outside forces which also help shape our destiny. The enactment she chooses to achieve her desires, then leads her into another individual’s sphere of time. Unfortunately, this becomes fatal.

We, in this society we live in, are conditioned to believe that happiness is when goals have been reached. This is opposed to valuing the process, for it’s the process which culminates into the final product. Life is actually a constant cyclic model, instead of the linear model mainstream culture propagates.

We as individuals to an extent are the sole controllers of our destiny, yet we must not forget the participation of others in our future. Lack of consciousness towards outside forces proves to be fatal in the movie Psycho. Yet don’t be mislead by not trying to advance one’s self, just be aware of the role others play in our destiny.
