Professor
Dr. Zoellner is the Director of the University of Washington’s Center for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress and an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Washington. Both her research and her clinical experience focus on the prevention and treatment of chronic posttraumatic stress disorder, with particular expertise in the area of memory functioning.
Prior to joining the faculty at UW, Dr. Zoellner received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, minoring in Behavioral Neuroscience, from the University of California, Los Angeles, and was an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety. She is well recognized in the field of traumatic stress studies.
Dr. Zoellner has written and published extensively on the nature and treatment of trauma-related psychopathology and has given many workshops for practitioners on the prevention and treatment of chronic PTSD.
