Rivet Amico

K Rivet Amico is a counseling psychologist by training who has worked in the areas of HIV prevention and treatment for over two decades. She is an associate professor at the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health, in the Department of Health Behavior Health Education. Dr. Amico has a long history of engaging with communities around the world to help identify strategies to optimize person-facing, person-first care in diverse settings. She is a strong advocate for capacity sharing collaborations and the inclusion of mental health, trauma and other social and structural determinants of health in programmatic interventions and services.
