Calling all current sophomores and juniors in the Schools of STEM, Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences and Nursing & Health Studies at UW Bothell!

Community-Engaged Collaborations for Equity and Justice program aims to enhance your skills, broaden your perspectives, and empower you to make a positive impact in your chosen careers and communities.

Each academic year, six undergraduate students – two per school (STEM, IAS, NHS) interested in community-engaged, justice-driven projects will have the opportunity to partner with a community organization and industry mentors. Participants will engage in regular meetings facilitated by community partners, fostering reflection and self-awareness about your work. Collaborating with professionals at the community organization will expand your network and provide hands-on experience in understanding and addressing community needs.

Financial support will be provided for each quarter you work on the project, and you will receive dedicated mentorship from industry leaders and UW Bothell faculty. Additionally, you can earn independent research credits from your respective schools. Alumni from previous cohorts may also serve as mentors, further enhancing your sense of belonging in the workplace.

Participating in this program allows students to help contribute to the health and wellness of communities, gain valuable skills, make a difference and thrive in their careers. Applicants must be in their sophomore or junior year, maintain good academic standing, and not have conduct violations in the past two years. Students from historically excluded or marginalized populations are especially encouraged to apply.
