Join us at Shultzy’s on The Ave during Veterans Appreciation Week (VAW) 2025, where we will celebrate YOU and initiate our first formal event for the Staff and Faculty Veterans Association (SFVA) for the University of Washington. No-Host means that food and drinks will be the responsibility of attendees, and it will not be covered at this time by the SFVA or the Office of Student Veteran Life.

The UW Tacoma Student Veteran Organization, the Peer Advisors for Veteran Education (PAVE), and other campus organizations will host an in-person ceremony to recognize and honor the entire UW Tacoma military-connected community – veterans, active service members, alumni and family members – with a special family-friendly dinner.

Our annual Veterans Day Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at the Medal of Honor Memorial on the UW’s campus in Seattle. Registration is not required.

Join us at the Medal of Honor Memorial during Veterans Appreciation Week (VAW) 2025, as we work to restore the memorials around campus for military members. This will include the US Flag Pole near the Medal of Honor Memorial, Medal of Honor Memorial, Entry Archways of Memorial Way, and if time permits, other memorials/areas surrounding them.

Join the UW Tacoma Student Veterans Organization (SVO) and the VMRC staff to plant flags along the Prairie Line Trail in their annual flag planting event! No sign-up is necessary; simply show up on the day of the event and participate!

Join the University of Washington (Bothell Campus) in their annual Plant a Flag Day on campus! Students and other participants will meet at the area between UW1 & UW2 on campus and place flags on the campus for recognition of Veterans Day.

Volunteer lawyers will assist in creating simple wills, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives. Appointments are required. The clinic will follow up with you regarding available times and information about your appointment.
