The Frye Art Museum is looking to hire a full-time Graphic Designer on their staff!
Design and Production (50%)
Design and produce print collateral materials, including exhibition invitations, program brochures, newsletters, advertisements, signage, posters, and magazines for multiple channels including marketing and advertising.
Design online/digital marketing campaigns, including evites, E-News, and online marketing campaigns for channels including Museum website and email marketing.
Design and produce exhibition catalogues and other exhibition-related publications.
Design Project Management (25%)
Meet with colleagues in departments across the Museum to discuss scope, concept, design, budget, and schedule of projects.
Prepare and present preliminary designs, comprehensives, and complete layouts for review and approval by departments across the Museum.
Revise projects as required through subsequent reviews and to final approval.
Identify vendors to provide printing and other services, assign projects to vendors, and manage project schedules.
Provide quality control of all projects by overseeing approval of blue lines and match prints and making press checks, as required.
Exhibition Graphics (25%)
Design and produce exhibition graphics in collaboration with Curator and Exhibition Designer.
Work with internal and external members of exhibition design and installation team to prepare and install exhibition graphics, including exhibition identity, title walls, wall texts, graphics murals, photo blow-up reproductions, and object labels.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelors (B.S. or B.A.) degree or equivalent from a nationally accredited college or university in graphic design, media or related field; and 4 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination.
