Paid Research Position, UX/UI Design

Website Design and UX/UI project:
We are an on campus research lab known as the Performance Research lab. To apply for this position you MUST BE CURRENT UW STUDENT. We are looking for a friendly, hardworking student who is talented in website design. Please submit your Resume and portfolio work and anticipated availability (hours per quarter) to Cristine Agresta, cagresta@uw.edu.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, create, and modify landing pages for Performance Research Lab

  • Work on project from start to finish
  • Optimize current branding elements (logos, fonts, etc)
  • Source photography and artwork as necessary
  • Maintain the website 2-3 times within the year
  • Collect user feedback and make improvements on the site
  • Possible UX/UI development for select research projects

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in web design. Portfolio of design work is required

  • Familiarity with with HTML. Preference given to web designers who have worked in WordPress.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Compensation:

For undergraduate student applicants: $16.00/hr; For masters student applicants: total project fee negotiable
