Fremont Solstice Parade – Contract/Internship Opportunities

Background:

The Fremont Arts Council’s mission is to engage community to cultivate the spirit of celebration where everyone is an artist. The FAC is best known for supporting artists to create the Fremont Solstice Parade and Celebration. For over 30 years, the FAC has collaborated with community partners to provide community art opportunities in Fremont and greater Seattle. We produce a variety of other events, as well as caring for the Fremont Troll and providing public art workshops at our Powerhouse art studio. The FAC is a grassroots, volunteer driven organization. Parade Coordinator 

Overview:

The Fremont Arts Council (FAC) is seeking to fill a contracted position to coordinate all aspects of the 2020 Fremont Solstice Parade. This is a temporary, four month position, March 1 through June 30, 2020. (Graduate Level Students, looking for internship are also encouraged to apply).

Position Description:  

The Parade Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and support of all aspects of the 2020 Fremont Solstice Parade and Celebration, including planning, operations, hosting a public art studio, and supporting parade artists. The scope of this contract includes the following: Parade artist coordination, community art studio, the Parade, the event at Gasworks Park following the parade. The Coordinator is assisted in these duties by board members, leadership teams and volunteers.

Administrative Manager

The Fremont Arts Council (FAC) is seeking to fill a contracted position to provide administrative support for the FAC and for the Fremont Solstice Parade. This is a temporary, four month position, March 1 through June 30, 2020. This is a volunteer position with a stipend. (Graduate level students, looking for an internship are also encouraged to apply).
