Synbio for Everyone is a new RSO that is a spinoff from Washington iGEM that works on improving synthetic biology education accessibility and reducing educational equity gaps in STEM by writing curriculum and conducting educational outreach events. In the past, Synbio for Everyone’s 200-paged synthetic biology curriculum has received international recognition, been translated into 16 different languages, and has been implemented in a variety of settings, including at local underserved schools, STEM events, with people with disabilities, and in 3 different continents with collaborators around the world.

Membership and participation with Synbio for Everyone will provide you with the opportunity to get involved with a nonprofit synthetic biology educational project with a tangible impact. This is especially valuable for those interested in working with underserved communities and people with disabilities. It can also give you the opportunity to be acknowledged in a curriculum that will be published and that has already been implemented worldwide.
We are looking for people to fill specific roles in our team, but are mostly looking for general members. Descriptions of the available positions as well as the expected responsibilities are detailed on our application. However, here is a quick list of some of the specific positions we have available:
