Innovation Lab Intern (Portland, OR)
The Innovation lab is responsible for building functional prototypes to assist the innovation development team in exploring new constructions, technologies and methods of make. Daily activities including:
Building 3D prints to confirm new last and tooling concepts,
Patterning and assembling new upper concepts using heat processes and industrial sewing machines,
Cutting materials by hand or using a laser
Mocking up prototypes by deconstructing and reconstructing current shoe models
Lasting Uppers
Building footwear paper patterns from 2D files received from factories
Bottom Attachment/Stockfitting
An intern in the lab will be a part of weekly tracking and teardown meetings. They will also learn about 3D printing including how to prep files, operating the equipment and post processing. The intern should expect to learn how to read SOPs, footwear patterns, prototyping in an R&D environment.
Footwear Design Intern (Remote)
The Footwear Design Intern will work alongside the design team to gain experience and exposure across a range of seasonal milestones and product assortments. This role will gain creative insights and inspiration through close working partnerships with Product Marketing and Development, as well as ideate alongside other product designers.
Essential Responsibilities
Support the overall Footwear Creation process across multiple categories
Manage a design project through the entire creative process
Help prepare tech packs of footwear projects – keeping up with changes to the design
Engage with internal stake holders and creation partners to understand the dynamics and forces of gravity at play in the design studio
Support and engage with the the color and material creation teams
Manage daily activities involving design and internship deliverables
Graphic Design Intern (Remote)
The Graphic Design Intern will work with our Utility in-house design team. This role will support our Utility category by doing the graphic design for a wide variety of marketing and company design projects including but not limited to presentations, Social, conceptual, video/photo shoots, tradeshow graphics, retail graphics, catalog design, packaging, event graphics, packaging, swag artwork, and collateral piece design.
Essential Responsibilities
Works with the design team on completing design round reviews
Creates Presentations for review
Sees all types of graphic projects through from concept design to production
Communicates and works with both in house and external vendors/printers on all aspects of graphic projects to produce final graphics that are delivered on time and that represent the KEEN Utility brand
Works on multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
