Hello from the Gender Equity Commission!
We are currently accepting art, poetry, writing samples, dances, acts, songs, and other creative mediums to be featured in our annual “The Monologues” event, which is an opportunity for UW students who have experienced gender-based discrimination to share their stories through a variety of creative mediums.
The Gender Equity Commission is dedicated to uplifting a culture that is informed, equitable, and affirming for all UW community members who experience misogyny, and our event focus is titled “A Letter to Myself.” Feel free to incorporate the themes of self-reflection for a past, present, or future you in your submission.
We’re currently looking for participants and have an application portal for those interested to fill out that will be open until April 17th.
