2024   Scholarship Award in Honor of: CLIFFORD BURKEY – JANETH TROWBRIDGE


  • To be considered, applicants must be currently enrolled in a comprehensive 2-to-4-year fine art program with an emphasis on 2-dimensional work and have completed at least one year of that program by June 30, 2024, with at least one year remaining
  • The program must be in King, Pierce, or Snohomish County.
  • Applicants must provide all requested information as well as a resume, letter of recommendation from a current instructor, and five examples of your completed 2-dimensional, hand created fine artwork.
  • The scholarship recipient will be expected to attend (via Zoom) an interview session and our organization’s June 28th Zoom meeting to accept the award.

Organized in 1949 with Margaret Mattocks as its founding President, Seattle Co-Arts was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1950. Seattle Co-Arts was founded primarily to encourage creativity and develop originality in dedicated artists.

In 1988, Seattle Co-Arts honored its founding President by voting to award annual art scholarships to deserving student artists who are currently engaged in furthering their art education towards a career.
