Pottery Instructor (Hiawatha Community Center)
If you have experience in Pottery instruction, Associated Recreation Council (ARC) has a role for you as Pottery Instructor at Hiawatha Community Center (for Alki Bathhouse). This is a year-round part-time role.
ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, serves Seattle by offering access to licensed childcare and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs, classes, and activities. The Pottery Instructor must be able to plan age-appropriate activities for 16+ year-old students. Experience in teaching pottery specifically is required. Must have enough experience on a pottery wheel to be able to provide demonstrations and work with students one-on-one for wheel thrown pieces. Other tasks include loading, firing, and unloading the kiln. environment.

Pottery Instructor duties and responsibilities:
- Complete experience with pottery as described above
- Experience working with adults
- Ability to manage, create and lead activities
- Experience managing a group of participants
Pottery Instructor requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have demonstrated working experience working with families, community members and partners to foster positive relationships
Pay:
- Starting pay: $26.50- $28.50/hr.
- Full Pay Range: $26.50 – $36.50/hour (employee may earn up to $44.50/hr with continued employment)
