Jason Yeatman’s article on the role of the visual system in reading and dyslexia appeared in the March issue of the International Dyslexia Association’s Examiner. There has been considerable controversy in the field of dyslexia research over the underlying impairment that causes dyslexia. The goal of this article was to provide a balanced perspective on what research on the visual system is revealing about children and adults with dyslexia.
