Seattle Disability Day of Mourning for People with Disabilities

March 1, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

On March 1st, a Vigil will be remember that disabled lives are lives worth living, and to remember those who have been forgotten by society. The event will begin with a few speakers, followed by a reading of the names of over 780 people who have been murdered by their caregivers in the past 10 years.

The Vigil will be at Red Square at the University of Washington’s campus in Seattle from 6-8 PM. It is on several bus routes, and street parking is available, though may not be enough for all of the attendees. If the Weather does not permit, we will likely use the D-Center in Mary Gates hall as a secondary location.
