The Design Help Desk offers free adviceto all students, faculty and staff atthe University of Washington who want toimprove their visuals for presentation and publication.

Clients can bring any visual work related to their research or teaching — includingfigures, diagrams, data plots, presentations and posters—and receive help from a designer on staff. Design consultants aregraduate students or senior undergraduates in the UW Division of Design from the UW School of Art + Art History + Design.

The Design Help Desk started as a collaboration between Professor Karen Cheng (Visual Communication Design) and Professor Marco Rolandi (Electrical Engineering) funded by the National Science Foundation. The Design Help Desk isnow supported by the UW Design Division.
