There are five subordinate taxa within the genus Phyllospadix (P. iwatensis, P. japonicus, P. scouleri, P. serrulatus, P. torrevi). In the Pacific Northwest P. scoleri, P. serrulatus, and P. torreyi are commonly found. Pictures for this site of Phyllospadix were taken at Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands and Botanical Beach on Vancouver Island, Canada where all three species are found. This sight mainly focuses on the species P. scouleri. All photos where taken by Alexandra Croft unless otherwise noted.
