  • Visit British and American Camps, historical strongholds during the locally famous Pig War, a boundary dispute between Great Britain and the US during the 19th Century. These beautiful National Historical Parks are maintained by the National Park Service.

  • For hands-on, in depth marine science programs, contact the Port Townsend Marine Science Center. With housing options at Fort Worden Conference Center, you can arrange extended programs for K-12 school and youth groups.
  • There are many excellent on-the-water programs for school groups in Puget Sound. An outstanding program for middle school students that introduces both seamanship and scientific investigation is Salish Sea Expeditions.
  • Sound Experience offers marine biology and sail training experience aboard the historic schooner, Adventuress.
