Ninety-two papers were presented over three days by scholars from around the world. In addition to presentations on Chinese and Tibeto-Burman languages, there were talks on Hmong-Mien, Thai, and Vietnamese. Randy LaPolla, Robbins Burling, and Jerry Norman delivered the three keynote addresses. For details, see the conference program.
