The 39th International Conference on Sino-Tibetan Languages and Linguistics

Lodging

Announcement (Aug 16): I have arranged for an extension of the reservations deadline at the Watertown Inn and theUniversity Tower Hotel until Monday, August 21. Please see below for instructions on making reservations. As of this moment the University Inn and the College Inn Hotel seem to be full, but it is possible that spaces will open if there are cancelations, so you can try inquiring.

We have secured blocks of rooms at reduced prices at four hotels near campus. We recommend that most participants stay at the University Inn or Watertown Inn. They are run by the same company and are just one block from each other. All of the hotels have free wireless internet and complimentary breakfast, and are within walking distance of the conference site on campus. You can see pictures of the rooms and get more information about the hotels by clicking the hotel names below, which will take you to the hotel web sites.

Please make your reservations by August 14! After August 14, the discount price is no longer in effect and the rooms are made available to the general public. You can always cancel up to a week in advance without penalty, so it is best to make your reservations now even if your plans aren't yet certain.

See below for instructions on making reservations.

Watertown Inn - This is the nicest and most comfortable of the hotels, with large pleasant rooms.

4242 Roosevelt Way NE Seattle, WA 98105

$129/night for one person, $10 for each additional person (maximum 4)

University Inn - Somewhat cheaper and less spacious than the Watertown, but still very comfortable.

4140 Roosevelt Way NE Seattle, WA 98105

Traditional Room: $99/night for one person, $10 for each additional person (maximum 2)
Deluxe Room: $109/night for one person, $10 for each additional person (maximum 2)

University Tower Hotel - About the same as the University Inn.

4507 Brooklyn Ave NE Seattle, WA 98105

$119/night for one person (there may be an additional charge for extra people)

College Inn - A clean and simple "European-style" hotel, with shared bathrooms and showers.

4000 University Way NE Seattle, WA 98105

Single rooms for $50, double rooms for $60, quad rooms (two double beds, accommodates up to 4 people) for $80.

Note that hotel taxes and fees totalling approximately 16% will be added to hotel bills at the first three hotels. Because the College Inn is smaller, the tax is only 8.8%.

Availability

There are currently 30 rooms set aside at the three large hotels, and 5 rooms at the College Inn. In order to ensure that you get the room you want, it is best to reserve early. At the Watertown and University Inn, you can cancel up to 3:00 pm the day before your scheduled arrival date without penalty. At the University Tower Hotel, you can cancel up to 7 days before arrival date without penalty. Be sure to mention that you are with the "ICSTLL-39" group. This will ensure that you receive the discounted rate.

Our rooms are only guaranteed available until August 14, 2006 (the date for the College Inn is September 10). Please make your reservations before this date.

If you find that there are no more blocked rooms available at the hotel of your choice, ask to be put on a waiting list. More rooms might become available.
