  15th New England Doppler Conference
Program Information:

The conference will consist primarily of free but structured discussions, with no formal contributed papers or published abstracts or proceedings. The will be a total of 9 sessions, each of which will focus on a particular topic of general interest. Each session will be introduced by a key contributor in the field with a 10-15 minute discussion of current problems rather than a presentation of individual research. After that, other attendees will be free to contribute in the sessions of their choice with presentations limited to about 5-10 minutes and no more than 5-6 slides. The goal should be to present interesting ideas to stimulate discussion rather than to present one's own research as is expected at other conferences.

Schedule:

Conference center check-in and final registration will take place from 3:00 to 6:00 on Sunday, May 31. Cocktail hour and supper will be followed by the opening session. After the evening session, the bar will again be open to encourage continuing discussion. On Monday and Tuesday there will be two morning sessions, lunch, an afternoon session, than an afternoon break. Following break will be a cocktail hour, dinner, and then an evening session lastin until 10:00. After the Wednesday morning sessions, we will close the conference with lunch.

Program:

A list of proposed topics is included on the registration form (.pdf version, .rtf version). Please indicate in which sessions you would like to contribute so that we can create an outline of the program. As was done at the last meeting, the final schedule will be prepared at the conference center. As registration we will ask all participants to confirm topics on which they will make presentations. If you would like to speak on a topic that is not now included, please so indicate, and we will do everything to accomodate you. If you would like to chair a session, also please indicate so in the approprate column. Those who have not chaired session in the past are encourage to volunteer as this will stimulate fresh ideas.
