Feeding Challenges of the NICU Graduate

Feeding challenges are common during the NICU course and persist despite resolution or stabilization of other medical issues. Without appropriate treatment these disorders can have lasting adverse effects on the child and family. Objectives for this course include: 1) Describe an interdisciplinary approach to the management of feeding disorders common in NICU graduates, 2) Describe specific interventions to address difficulties typically seen in this population such as nutrition, swallowing, advancement of oral feeding and postural stability, 3) Recognize the challenges and obstacles faced by families, caregivers and healthcare providers caring for this population

Neonatal Nutrition Conference
