Abstract: Portland State University will support the work sponsored by the Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) to provide development and validation of riverine water quality models.
Objective 1: Participate with ERDC researchers in the development, validation, and application of new water quality and risk assessment models.
Task 1: Conduct testing, debugging and validation of integrated AdH and water quality models. Participate with the Project Team on conference calls and site meetings.
A set of plug-in water quality libraries have been integrated into 2D and 3D AdH model. This task will support the model integration, testing and validation, and documentation. An important output of this task will be a tech note for AdH water quality modeling integration and
validation.
Task 2: Review and conceptualize key temperature and contaminant processes required for a landscape model. Participate with the Project Team on conference calls and site meetings. This task will support the conceptualization and development of new water temperature and
contaminant kinetics for the landscape including soil and overland flow regimes. Products produced from this task will be used to develop new subroutines within the landscape model.
