Abstract: The primary goal of this project is to conduct a Public Archaeology Field School and complete analysis of resulting artifacts and data. The field school will provide an opportunity for students to learn archaeological field methods – including survey, testing, data recovery excavation, and non-destructive techniques such as ground penetrating radar – as well as laboratory methods for artifact cleaning and analysis. In addition, the participants will have learning sessions on history, museum curation, and interpreting archaeology to the public.
