Abstract: The project will develop an ethnographic overview and assessment for all federal lands in Clark County, Nevada that are managed by members of the Southern Nevada Agency Partnership (SNAP): BLM, NPS, USBR, USFWS, USFS. The study will identify American Indian tribes historically associated with these lands, and changes in tribal use of the lands and their resources. The study will include a list of documented traditional cultural properties (TCPs) and potential TCPs in the study area. Based on this documentation, NPS and UW will develop a consultation plan template in the form of a draft memorandum of understanding (MOU) to guide future consultation between American Indian tribes and SNAP partners.
