Abstract: This project will analyze water samples for environmental DNA collected at selected National Parks in the western United States. These eDNA samples will provide aquatic inventories of various water bodies throughout each sampled park. With this information, park managers will be better prepared to develop and prioritize management activities. Phase 1 will include samples collected from Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GOGA) and Point Reyes National Seashore (PORE) streams and ponds will be analyzed for the detection of four species. Future phases may include samples from additional parks for a different suite of species depending on success of Phase 1 and availability of finding.
