Abstract:

The goal of this Agreement is to assist the NPS and partners in the SWSP in implementation of the NSS and associated revegetation and ecosystem restoration efforts in order to ‘get the right seed, in the right place, at the right time’. This work is funded through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and priority ecosystems for the NPS include southwestern deserts, grasslands, and sagebrush. Critical components needed to advance these initiatives include collaborative, cross jurisdictional partnerships and research. The NPS and the Recipient will work together to improve the currently depauperate research on the use of native plant materials in restoration in the Southwest and engage and educate youth and communities in environmental education activities.
