Stu: UW Tobacco-Free Resolution [REVISED]

Hello Everyone! This coming Tuesday, April 30, ASUW will be debating and voting on the tobacco-free campus resolution. The conservative wing of the senate is definitely putting up a fight and is apparently planning to recruit smokers to come to the meeting for a “forum.” Tobacco-Free UW is working on recruiting people who support the policy and recognize that this isn’t about discriminating against smokers, but rather about creating a healthier campus environment for the entire community, helping smokers quit, and preventing people from becoming addicted in the first place. We would love to have supporters from all different backgrounds and majors. We want to make sure we’ll have supporters on hand who are ready to speak up if the opportunity arises, so if you’re passionate about creating change, please contact Kate Cole at kate.v.cole@gmail.com. The meeting will be TOMORROW, April 30th, 530-730pm in Gowen 310! — Undergraduate Student Public Health Association Email: uspha2@uw.edu USPHA on Facebook USPHA Website
