UW Golden Key International Honour Society – upcoming bookdrive

Greetings Everyone! My name is Franco Yip and I am the Chapter President for Golden Key International Honour Society – UW. I would like to make an announcement about an upcoming book drive that our organization is doing during Finals week (Dec 9 – 13). Golden Key will be placing bins at various locations on campus for students to donate books (of any kind) to an organization called Better World Books. Better World Books will then attempt to sell/donate these books. A portion of the profit then goes to an organization of our choosing. Our Golden Key Chapter has decided to donate the funds to an organization called WorldFund. WorldFund aims to fix literacy problems from the bottom up – they use the donated money to train educational professionals throughout Latin America Locations of bins: Kane Hall, HUB, Mary Gates 131, McMahon, Haggett This is an excellent way to get rid of your old textbooks – especially the ones that The UW Bookstore wont buy back! Please help spread the word to your fellow classmates and friends. We will be publicizing this event by posting posters throughout campus as well as promoting this book drive via Facebook (link coming soon). Thank you for your time, Franco Yip
