MEDIC club Meeting this Thursday!

Hello Everyone, On Thursday, February 6 from 4:30 to 6, MEDIC will be holding a meeting in Health Sciences T-wing room 359. New folks very welcome! Kaia will be leading a discussion on stigmatization of medical conditions. This will build off last week’s discussion on governmental role in harm reduction, as we will focus on the impact public health campaigns have on stigma associated with obesity, mental illness, and smoking/addiction. If you would like some background, check out the following links: On obesity: http://www.eatingdisorderhope.com/information/body-image/healthy-weight-self -esteem http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2661472/ Navigating the Health Sciences building can be tricky. Enter through the main T wing entrance, go down to the third floor, turn right, turn left at the first hallway on your left, and when that hallway tees, room 359 is just to your right. Bring your friends! Snacks will be provided! If you have any questions, feel free to email us at medicuw@uw.edu and be sure to like us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/medicuw for updates about MEDIC and bioethics in the media. Hope to see you there!
