University of Washington African Students Association is proud to present its first Annual Mr. and Ms. Africa Pageant! This is an event that will enrich the community by showcasing individuals that embody the rich and diverse cultures that populate the African continent. The event will also strive to portray Africa more positively in light of conventional stereotypes. We are looking for students of African descent that understand the day-to-day struggles of African students at UW as well as who can convey their experiences in the diaspora and are active contributors to the community.

Proceeds of the event will go in celebrating and honoring our graduating black seniors. Black graduation is an integral part of our experience so please help us in making it happen.
